Dorothy Pritchard is just your average, pretty, all-American, bratty teenager who figures she has it all made when she's been asked to house sit the wealthy Poe's on Halloween. With a healthy paycheck, and the prospect of her hot boyfriend coming over for a make out, there's nothing standing between Dorothy and the most memorable Halloween of her life. Nothing, that is, except for the Poe's rotting comatose mother living in the upstairs bedroom.Surrounded by dolls and her favorite harlequin clown, Mother is a macabre sight to behold. It doesn't take long for Dorothy to determine that perhaps this night isn't everything it was promised to be, and soon finds out that when the lights go off, her and Mother were never actually home alone.As the approaching storm grows, and the power goes out, Dorothy's night of fun and games rapidly descends into nightmare as she is haunted and stalked by the hosts of hell. When all seems lost, and at her wits end, she must face off against the seemingly helpless, sinister Mother to put an end to this gallery of horror, only to find out that she may in fact be no match for the living dead.
